Studies of V-segment use in the B cells of monozygotic twins show that our B cell development processes repeatedly use the same V segments to make both the heavy and light chains of BCRs on naïve, mature B cells released from the bone marrow. That is, in any given individual, if you examine which V- segments were used to make naïve, mature B cells, the B cells in that individual will show a bias in which V segments are found, and this pattern is unique per person (or pair of identical twins). This bias only applies to the V-segments, and is not seen in D, J, or inserted hyper-variable regions. Why would our bodies do this?

The monozygotic twins has shown that additional unidentified genetically encoded mechanism and contribute to the individual gene segments and the distances between twin pairs was significantly lower than the non twin distance of all 3 cells when comparing vsegment use, in non twin there is major differences when we compare to the monozygotic twins.the immunorepertoire, overlap between individuals would be greater in identical twins but not in normal.
