There are a total of 500 employees at the site; 450 non-exempt employees who clock in and out each day, and 50 exempt employees who do not use a time clock and are paid a standard weekly salary.

The organization has an electronic time capture and payroll system already in place that:

Self-service maintenance is the new age way of tracking the activities of employees in any organization. Manual tracking leads to hiring of additional resource and as a result, acts as a cost centre for the organization. Therefore, it is extremely important to have self-service maintenance which can done with the help of biometric data. All the emplopyees can register their biometric data with the organization who would be able to punch in everday through retina or finger scan.

As a result, the cost would be reduced and confidentiality would also be maintained as the access to such a database would be provided to onlytop management of the organization with high security clearance.
