The abstract should comprise of four essential components. It should state the objectives of the study, describe the methodology or method employed in gathering the data, processing and analysis, summarize the results, and state the principal conclusions of the research. The abstract serves a brief overview of the study so other researchers reading it are able to comprehend the content of the research quickly. It is important for an abstract to include these components for it to cover all the necessary elements required to understand the research conducted.
