Question
If you were to reverse the orientation of the positive andnegative recording electrodes during an ECG recording, which of thefollowing would most likely occur?1. TheECG would not change.
2. The ventricular activity would appear normal, but theatrial activity would appear inverted.
3. TheECG would fail to record the electrical activity.
4. Theatrial activity would appear normal, but the ventricular activitywould appear inverted.
5. AllECG deflections would be exactly inverted. If you were to reverse the orientation of the positive andnegative recording electrodes during an ECG recording, which of thefollowing would most likely occur?

Explanation / Answer
The time and date needed is too suspiciously close to the same deadline as my bio lab; I feel like you might be in it...either way, I think the answer is ECG deflections would be exactly inverted. I may be wrong because it seems too easy but measuring the voltage is just relative to which electrode you place where. If you were using a voltage meter and switched the leads whatever you're measuring would display the opposite, such as a battery and meter, so I figured the same logic applies.
