Here's your chance to get creative.
Propose a business idea, something bold and creative and fun. It doesn't have to be real or possible or logical. It just has to be yours.
Choose 3-5 of the topics of marketing operations.
Explain how those 3-5 topics would impact your proposed business idea.
How would you use some of the tools to better your idea or your business?
How would you make sure your idea was protected and had a strong strategy behind it?
How would your idea work in various international markets and cultures?
Explanation / Answer
In the context of the given question, I am thinking about a consumer problem that sometimes consumers are not happy with the food that they buy from restaurants or outside food sellers.
I'm wondering how unique this idea could be if the consumers have got some control over the cooking format, style, process, timing and delivery of the food. At this point of time, this idea is really hypothetical.
In terms of the marketing operations, it is important that this project is tested in some metropolitan cities, and only the frequent consumers who order food often. It can also be restricted to certain age categories or only to women consumers to have more specific responses. This idea need not be too much advertised, instead an app can be launched and all consumers be made aware everytime they visit the restaurant so that they could try using the new feature next time they place an order.
As mentioned, it is best to launch a mobile app to execute the testing of this idea which can work as a good tool. This idea has to be authenticated from non-genuine consumers, it must be protected from consumers who are actually not consumers of that restaurant. So some sort of access protection is necessary to grant permission only to the intended users. This definitely needs support of experts from the Hotel & Beverage industry to streamline the idea and add their inputs too.
This idea will definitely work well in the international markets as their are lot of food chains which are global, like KFC, Subway etc.. and it is best to start with known names. Further, the idea can be rolled out to specific cultural food chains like Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese etc. depending on how well the idea responded.
