I've been assigned a project and need help with how to go about choosing a topic.
The requirement is ot develop an andriod application that uses as least one type of OS-related functionality. This could be related to the Android Operating System or some type of system call. I've never made an app before and im very new to OS, so I'm struggling to understand what my options are.
My question is, what are some ideas that would make a good project? I'm eager to get started but still have so much to learn, and dont really have an idea on where to start. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The broadcast receiver is the one functionality or feature which you can utilize by implementing it in your app, you should be focussing on such an app which interacts and needs the operating system to invoke the process.
For example:
You can implement a notification system with the help of firebase in which there is a notification when the phone is connected to the internet automatically.
or you can set a reminder system which as soon as phone reboot is completed will fire a message saying something.
This can be implemented by the broadcast receiver. broadcast receiver (receiver) is an Android component which allows you to register for system or application events. All registered receivers for an event are notified by the Android runtime once this event happens.
