Question
Strategic implementation requires people to change behavior to something different from what they have been doing. This is often approached by implementing policies and procedures that reward desired behavior, and/or punish non-compliance with the desired change. Rewards and incentives seem like a simple solution to motivating employees, but quite often they may lead to unintended consequences. Think carefully about how you plan to motivate employees and managers to implement your plan.
What reward structures are you recommending in your implementation plan?
How do you see StilSim employees reacting when the new reward structure is announced? Will they accept it or pushback?
Explanation / Answer
What reward structures are you recommending in your implementation plan?
I would recommend the following in implementing strategic decisions and this is based on my work experience which was successful for the organization.
Once the strategy has been decided, the organization took the following steps for successful employee acceptance-
How do you see StilSim employees reacting when the new reward structure is announced? Will they accept it or pushback?
Since StilSim does not have any incentives determined for the new strategy, the probability of the employees open to the new change is more since they have more opportunities in terms of the rewards, incentives and growth. Hence, the employees may accept the new reward structure.
