1) I am not in agreement with corporate's decision that Theo is an excellent candidate. His background at the flagship was a very smooth one and he has never had the opportunity to handle anything like this. That was one of the reasons why Martin had misgivings about Theo's abilities.
As Theo is used to a very comfortable environment and has a habit of having things go his way, it would be a serious challenge for him to succeed at the Lincoln
2) Theo did well by understanding the challenges, issues at his new assignment. Martin could have asked Theo to come up with a roadmap and how he planned to implement it, then Martin could have suggested any changes to the manner in which it could have been carried out.
