I need to write a hardship letter to get financial assistance from Catholic charities to help pay for my rent. Please help me write this letter. I do not know how to write good letter. Here is my situation. Recently, I have hernia surgery on Dec 21, 17 and due to that I could not work. As such, I have no money to pay for my rent and other bills. I have four kids and I am relying on welfare. Please help me write good letter. Thanks a lot for your help! Please do not copy and paste from other internet source. I need your wisdom.

I have relentlessly worked hard as a hardworking employee at my workplace and received positive feedback for my work. As a bright student at the University I have strong plans and goals to be successful in every aspect of my career. However there are few obstacles that can seem to create a roadblock.
I am writing this letter to apply for financial assistance from your Catholic charity. I have actively faced the challenges in my life. This time the circumstances have striked a heavy blow on my situation. The hernia surgery slated to be performed on Dec 21,17 has left me with lot of anxiety. This situation unfortunately did not allow me to work. This affected my financial situation further. I have the responsibility of four kids and without any income I am left uncertain about my future situation. I am relying on welfare and unfortunately this is not helpful at all to support my rent and bills.
I would like to request you to consider my case for financial assistance. I assure you that this would prove as a savior for my future career goals.
