Title: Plight of Work-Study Scholars
Introduction:
"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet", quoted by the ancient Greek philosopher give a relevant meaning to the plight of working and studying scholars in and around the globe. Student life is the most important phase in one's life as it helps in formulating character, personality, punctuality and discipline. Learning and aquiring knowledge makes a student successful in his or her life.
Thesis Statement
On a global perception, student life has a colourful outlook. Students' background vary according to various situations. Many of them go for part-time or full-time jobs to earn their living, during their school times. Students face a lot of challenges in their study life due to working simulataneously along with studies.
Among the numerous issues, three major obstacles that a student faces include:
1. Time Management - the major problem faced by such students is the issue of time management, that is, they would not be able to manage their time efficiently for both studies and work. They find it diificult to allocate enough time for their studies, even if they go for work to earn their school fees.
2. Health Problems - balancing a study life and a work life is a very stressful condition for students. Many diseases and disorders such as anxiety and depression evolves in a student's life due to lack of sleep and not eating food at the right time.
3. Social Problems and Relationships - students who go for work do not get time to spend with their family, friends and peers, relatives etc. Keeping relationships become a great challenge to them, indirectly making them introverts.
The golden stage in one's life become a focussed or unfocussed phase due to various situations and how the challenges are faced and overcome by them isto be really appreciated in this competitive world.
