There are no new crimes. But today, criminals are using computers more to help them commit crimes. Most criminals, however, don't know that the computer can contain evidence that can be used against them.

1.The data deleted by a criminal after committing the crime such as forgery,online theft does not gets deleted rather it still remains on the hard drive in the binary format because of data remanence or the residual representation of data.File deletion merely renames the files and hides it from the user and original files can still be recovered.
2.GPS i.e. global positioning system is a software which is embedded in phones can also be used by tracking the whereabouts of the criminals.
