1. Divide and Conquer - Divide and conquer (D&C) is an algorithm design methodology works by recursively breaking down a problem into two or more sub-problems of the same or related type, until these become simple enough to be solved directly. The solutions to the sub-problems are then combined to give a solution to the original problem.

2. Trial and Error - It is a method of problem solving in which certain set of steps are repeated untill the desired solution is obtained. This can be time consuming at time and may not yield the final outcome at all in some cases.
There are a number of important factors that makes trial and error a good tool to use for solving problems. The purpose of trial and error is not to find out why a problem was solved. It is primarily used to solve the problem
