Although many think of the Internet as just the World Wide Web (www), there are actually a vast number of services on the Internet. These services include e-mail, VoIP, ftp, telnet, peer-to-peer computing, and streaming.
Select one of these or another service to research. Provide a description of the service and how it is utilized. Also identify and describe the protocols that support the service.

Telnet
Telnet is text-based network protocol which is used on the internet or local area network (LAN) to provide the interactive text-based communication faculty using the terminal connection. Telnet was first created and launched in 1969.
Telnet control information in an 8-byte-oriented data connection over the TCP/IP protocol. The protocol used by the telnet service is transmission control proton/Internet protocol. So telnet is a user command which the user input form the computer using the terminal to access remote computers. By the use of telnet, an administrator or another user can access someone else computer remotely.
In today's world where the technology is so advanced day by day. Still, people are using telnet is because this service is one of the easiest ways to use and it is one of the fastest in terms of connecting. This is why the telnet today is fun. You can watch movies, play games and check forecast etc.
Some of the people use telnet for the administering and joining text-based board system like forums. Sometimes you don't really need pictures and pretty graphics. That's why there are still active communities on the internet.
So to start of telnet session in your system. It is very, you must login into the server by entering the username and password. By this telnet is a common way to revolt control web servers.
