After looking at the low sales of the Store 4 of ABC hardware, we can explain the possible reasons according to the MARS model-

M-Motivation : The staff members seem to lack in motivation as they are arriving late for work and not pushing themselves hard to achieve the daily task. The reason behind this may be lack of incentive in achieving these goals. Giving an incentive for most punctual employee in a month can help solve this issue

A-Ability- some employees at the store are not competent enough to complete the task they are assigned for. They need switching of departments suited to their competency for better results.

R- Role Perceptions- Only a few of the employees have a clear idea about their roles and responsibilities. The human resource manager needs to clearly identify and communicate their respective roles to the employees.
