As we know that information technology has great importance to the business and strategic management process. It can be utilized to make strategic planning process more stronger than traditional way to fix it. A strategic thinker can extract relevent information related to organization from the existing enterprise resources planning ( ERP) to make better directions to various activities of the organization . For example: He may know the most successful area of business and to tap more opportunities he might infuse some of the people to give some extra care.
One may think, the new applications of ERP like measuring the performance of employees and organizational major achievements. It can be done via knowing the beyond the boundary actvities . Even , A strategic thinker might known to be a creative person who brings many changes within organization . He will create a positive workplace environment, a motivated pool of employees who wish to acheive any milestones set by the organization in near future.
In strategic planning process , an individual must have interpersonal skills along with strong leadership skills. Now a days, the demand of the industry is to produce the goods and services which has long term utilization as well as scope to generate more business outcomes to the organization. A healthy work environment and interpersonal relations with key stakeholders of the bsuiness like employees, suppliers , logistics partners , channel partners etc. might be play strong role in transforming the critical challenges of business into easy going day to day business operations. It will ultimately lead to competitive advantage to the organization.
