Following three vector using the Head to tail method Draw the vector exactly to scale All angels are measured from the x-axis Analytically determite the magnitude and direction of Resultant, R vector by mathematically pending the X and Y component of C vector + D vector + E vector. Finally, use the sums of component in conjunction with pythagorean theorem and arctangent function to determine the resultant. Find the present different for the graphically determined angle and angle calculation via the vector componed method. Find and Label the equilibrant of R vector and draw it on the vector diagram. Also , record its magnitude and angle using the analytical method.

Ax = 10*cos50 = 6.43 cm

Ay = 10*sin50 = 7.66 cm



Bx = 8*cos160 =?7.52 cm

Ay = 8*sin160 = 2.74 cm

x component of A + B = Rx = Ax+Bx = 6.43-7.52 = -1.09 cm

y component of A + B = Ry = Ay+By = 7.66+2.74 = 10.4 cm

R = sqrt(Rx^2+Ry^2) = 10.46 cm




difference = Rx = Ax-Bx = 13.95 cm

Ry = Ay-By = 4.92 cm

R = sqrt(Rx^2+Ry^2) = 14.79 cm
