You need to design a new Information Systems for Travel Agency. The company has more than 500 employees with offices in 4 countries. The company needs the TAIS (Travel Agency Information Systems) tool- a kind of ERP- to manage the employees in the company. The company wants to do away with the old system and develop the new TAIS from scratch.
As a System Analyst, you are required to answer the following questions with explanations, wherever required:
1- As per the statements mentioned above, the company is planning to implement BPR? Do you agree with the statement? Do you think BPR is the suitable methodology? Which amongst the three BPR techniques is most suitable for the company?
2- As a system analyst, you are required to collect requirements from customers. Which is the most suitable requirement collection technique and why?
3- Elaborate tangible and intangible advantages TAIS.

1) A BPR does help the company to get restructured radically with focusing on the existing designs of the process of the business. As BPR is a process which is meant for working towards improving the customer service, cut the operational cost and make the business be competitors.
For the above mentioned process BPR is not really needed as the project needs to start from scratch and not on the existing framework.
Business needs analysis is the technique which can be used for such process.
2) Business Need Analysis is the way in which one can gather information and requirements
This would include the identification of a problem, solidifying the goal, checking the business objectives.
This would help to know the functional requirement of the customer.
3) The advantages of using a TAIS (Travel Agent Informatin System) is as follows:
It is for a low cost and maintenance.
Reduced the website cost and the expenditure of advertisement and online marketing
Maximizes the profit and is accessible to many customers.
