Question
Please DO NOT copy the answer from here or Google, as I have already seen those and am looking for further clarification. I believe the answer is yes, because the signing operation performed after decryption that matches the digital signatures would tell the sender that the message was received, but I'm not totally sure. Another answer here on Chegg mentioned the key exchange field but I'm not sure if that applies to PGP and S/MIME, as the question only specified "encrypted email".
Thank you in advance.
Explanation / Answer
yes ofcourse PGP and S/MIME provide verification to a sender that recipient read an email message .because for this email encryption sender needs to have public key of receiver so that only right ,that particular receiver can only decrypt it . for this after getting certificate a .p7s extension file should be downloaded in email application .then once reciever gets message instinctly you get permission to sign that msg mail .this informs sender that mail had been read .
