Introduction: Security Templates are used to organise the different operations that are required to be done while installing a Windows OS in a single or multiple machine.These are very helpful in maintainig a separate functionality for various logical sections based on the categories of computer security policies.The security templates are basically text files that are configured on a windows based machine.
Security Templates are very helpful in maintaining a certain level of security standards in an organisation and are very necessary to thwart hacks.
There are various security templates.We will discuss about "Setup Security.inf".
It is a type of INF file which was developed by Compaq for windows Operating System.It is implemented during the installation of Windows Server 2003.
There comes errors in this INF file like "Setup Security.inf not found" or "Setup Security.inf failed to load" etc. These errors mostly occur during system startup or when trying to do a specific function , which are mainly caused by :
1. corrupt Operating System software or
2. corrupt windows registry key or
3. unknowingly deletion of security setup.inf file by another program or
4. any malicious program also corrupts the INF file.
There are various ways which can be used to avoid the issues in this INF file :
1. Update the OD/Software from the authentic source.
2. Install all the Uopdates/Patches of Windows regularly.
3. Always remove the temporary folders/junk files.
4. Run Malware scan for the Computer by a good anti-virus software.
