Explanation / Answer

How does ethics impact business relationships within an organization?

Economic growth as a source of individual and collective wealth, should be the objective to be achieved by economic policies, but should be based on a system that respects equal opportunities, fair distribution of wealth and satisfaction of the needs of the current population and future generations.

However, using the market this perspective has not been successful.

From the business point of view, ethical behavior is based on matters of justice, rights of participants in decisions and compliance with moral standards.

Although this definition should not be confusing, in the practice it raises many problems arising from the difference between the ethical and legal aspects, being the first level higher than that of the latter.

Socially there is a relationship between the ethical behavior of a company with credibility and quality of its products, which is directly related to business survival.

But this relationship also causes bad understood, when only intended, the media use to society of ethical orientation, with the sole aim of increasing sales and profits, without actually involving a change in the way to act on workers, the environment or consumer protection

Ethics also has an influence on the financing of the company and that shareholders can consider their investments based on the moral perception of the operations of the organization.

In the case of the commercial area, companies need to develop "ethical marketing policies" covering relations with distributors, advertising, customer services, pricing, product development, and in general, all activities contained In the area.

The problems of business ethics are complicated in the international market, because value judgments are very different, between culturally different groups, which is commonly accepted in a country can be completely rejected in another.
For example, to give expensive gifts, generally is punishable in the United States, but in many countries gifts are not only accepted but also expected.

Based on what you have learned in this course, how would you describe your approach to business ethics (i.e., what are your principles? what is your guide?)?

I have learned is that we must be ethical in business, and the reason is that businesses occur between people and people have to be ethical, in other words we must behave according to the moral standard derived from our own exclusive human, rational and free condition. Hence the answer is the same, whether it is formulated in relation to the profession, either liberal or by third parties, or relating to social, family and individual life. The human being must always be ethical in all situations and circumstances because there is only an ethic. There is only one and the same ethics and this ethics must be lived in individual life, in family life, in social life, in professional life and in business life.
