There are two main ways of setting disputes:
1. Negotiation: It is one of the best means of setting disputes. It is the back and forth communication between employers and employees to find a solution. It can be done directly or with an attorney to negotiate on your behalf. Negotiation allows us to participate directly in taking decisions that affect us.
Characteristics of negotiations are:
Example: If workers of a company needs more bonus as per with inflation, they can negotiate with HR Vice President and submit their issues and negotiate with management.
Arbitration: Arbitration is the submission of a disputed matter to an impartial person for decision. It is an out of court method for resolving a dispute. An arbritator controls the process, listen both sides and make a decision.
Characteristics of Arbitration:
Example: If we have a problem with a new car, we any find an arbitration through Better Business Bureau to be a solution for us. The manufacturer of a car also has a process for resolving disputes.
