Describe a time when someone tried to persuade you to change a belief, buy a product or take a specific action, in which he/she clearly did not take the time to understand your personal values attitudes and beliefs. What might the persuader have said or done that might have reached you? Perform an Internet search to locate an example of a sales letter. You may also locate one you received in the mail or at work. Attach a copy (a link document, or scan), and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the letter in regards to the quality of the argument it presents.

Question A:

The most important question that sales person should ask before selling the product is “what does the consumer wants and how does my product can satisfy his needs. A few days back a sales rep called me to sell me the credit card for his bank. Now, since I already had two cards, I was not interested in buying the card. But the sales rep kept on insisting on buying the card. He kept telling me the benefits of the card while I was totally disinterested in buying the card. He did not even ask me if I needed the card or what kind of benefits I was looking for (If I were to buy a card). I believe, if he had taken some time out to find out my needs before blabbering about the benefits of the card, I might have listened to him. And who knows, if the offers were really good, I might have ended up buying the card.
