Explanation / Answer

Please note: I can only facilitate you in making IFE matrix your University. I cannot make a matrix on behalf of you. Being a university student, you should know the internal strengths and weakness of your university.

IFE matrix or Internal Factor evaluation matrix is a matrix is a management tool which plots the strengths and weakness of a particular business. In your case, you should know the strengths and weakness of your University. If you do not know the stengths and weakness, conduct an internal audit of your University.

Step 1: Conduct an internal evaluation or internal audit of the university and list the important features of the university. Say for example, your evaluation criteria should be based of following factors.

This is just a sample list. You can add any thing from your end too.

Step 2: Now divide these attributes into strengths and weakness.

Step 3: Note give the rating for each attribute from 1-5, also give the weights for each attribute such that the total % should be equal to 100%

Step 4: Calculate weighted score

Example:

Total weighted score - 2.85

weight % = 100

If the total weighted score is below 2.5 then it points to internal weakness. If it is above 2.5, then the university has strong internal position.

Internal strengths weight Rating Weighted score Teaching staff 30% 4 1.2 Academics 25% 4 1 Internal weakness Canteen facilities 25% 1 0.25 Online courses 20% 2 0.4
