Explanation / Answer

In this abstract, we are doing qualititave analysis of alchol and phenol by doing some test. In our experiment, we are using five samples, ethanol, isopropyl alchol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, cyclohexanol, 20% phenol. The objective of our experiment is to do analysis of different type of alchols using different methods like: pH paper test, solublity test, oxidation of alchol and phenol, iron (|||) chloride test, write the balanced chemical equations, indentify primary, secondary and tertiary alchols and also write the structural formula. After performing all these analysis we are going to find out the unknown compound. In each test we are using all samples, and for each we are going to observe the reaction and for possitive test. These test can be helpful in indentifying unknown compound and properties of alchol and phenol.

In the next one, we have to examine structure, properties and reactions of aldehyde and ketones. Aldehydes and ketones are highly inflammable compounds. They both contain carbonyl groups, in aldehyde it is attached to hydrogen atom. The objective of our experiment is to analyse aldehyde and ketone by using some test namely, solublity test, iodoform test, benedict's test and oxidation of aldehyde and ketone. In all test we are going to observe the reaction and possitive test. By analysing all these test we are going to distinguish between aldehyde and ketone.
