They have an ‘effective’ manual system whereby receipts issued are hand-written and inventory is done manually. Their suppliers are farmers in the afram plains. The only technology they use is their cash register and their point of sales system designed and installed by a self-taught I.T. guy.
Assume that I am the owner and CEO of Tomato Avenue. Write a proposal that explains to me why I need and I.T. team and how beneficial they can be to the success of my business. Remember my end game is to make profit. At the moment I make a profit of $200,000 a year from my average of $600,000 revenue.

I can keep 4 people in the IT team to create a software which can track the inventory. We need to create a eco-system for the shop where customers can place their order online and can check the status of their orders.
2 IT people will maintain and check the records for one store and the other 2 for other store.
All the inventory for the Tomtao avenue can be centralized and everything can be tracked using the softwares. A custom solution can be developed by the IT tram which can create online repo for the stocks and the number of units bought from each farmer. This can help them with track inputs from each farmer and can keep the track of their inventory. Also sales should be tracked daily so that profit can be reported on daily basis and graphs should be used to track the progress of the inventory.
