I thought it was 3, 5, 2, 1, 4 in order from left toright but I was wrong could someone please help clarify.Thanks. SN1 solvolysis with methanol and heat. Rate in order of increasingrelative rate. (Use fastest =1, slowest =4). I did not understandthis substitution reaction at all except for I believed that themost substituted group or whether it was tertiary, secondary, orprimary would play a role. since SN1 reaction involves the formation of carbocationintermediate the alkyl halide which forms stable carbocation willundergo solvolysis fastest and the alkyl halide which forms leaststable carbocation will undergo solvolysis slowest. 5>1>4>3>2 5 forms a tertiary allyl carbocation, 1 forms secondary allylcation and 4 and 3 forms secondary carbocation but bromine is agood leaving group. hope this helps
