2) The chemical and physical properties of an organic compound arelargely determined bhy the presence of a(n) __________?- I answeredwith "functional group"

3) Explain why alkynes are more reactive than alkanes. - My answerstated that alkynes are more reactive than alkanes because of thepure fact that alkynes hold triple bonds.

Am I right?

3) 'Alkyne' denotes triple-bonds. The first bond between the hydrogen atom and the unsaturated carbon atom is an s bonds (sigma bond) and these bonds are arranged as far apart as possible (180 degrees). The second and third bonds that make up the triple bond of the unsaturated carbon atoms in alkynes are pi-bonds, which are much more reactive than sigma bonds.
