Innovation and change are centripetal forces in organizations. In the global marketplace if an organization is not innovative it frequently ceases to exist. Why is this the case? There are many types of innovation. How does the different types of innovation make organizations more competitive? It has been said that success in the past is no guarantee of success in the future. What is the implication of this statement? Change is a constant. Management of change is crucial to successful change and implementation. What innovations and changes have occurred in your workplace with what results? If results were positive what do you attribute to the positive results? If they were negative what in your opinion were the reasons?

There are lot of aspects that go into making an organization. Once an organization is formed, the activities does not stop there. Rather, now comes the real action wherein the management ofucc any organisation have to think about various aspects of how to take it further in the right direction, in order to make maximum profits, utilisation of its resources, making its workforce happy and make them work simultaneously etc. In order to sustain in the market initially the organization have to really work hard to make people around and the competitors feel their presence, so initial few years goes into the formation of such rules wherein they have to step into the market and show others abount their existence.
Once the organization is formed and it has stepped into the market and shown its presence then the first step is covered. Now comes the real task wherein the organization has to sustain itself in the market and show that they are capable. Here, innovation and change has a very pivotal role. As it is said that the only constant thing is change. So the organization has to constantly change not in terms of the entire thing, rules or mode of work but connstantly innovate in its style, mode of working, rules and products. If the organization has established then the people will look for more out of them in the coming years. They cannot sustain by just carrying forward the same things each time and people who follow them will get bored out of the same style of things.Moreover, if the organization has an existence in the global market then definitely they have to modify and keep on innovating as things change instantly in the global scenario. The situation wherein it has to continue to progress and exist in the market then change and innovation has to be on top priority. On the contrary, if the organization is not giving any importance to innovation or change then their exitence especially in the global market becomes dicey and it is also possible that their existence may cease which is again a very serious situation for any Company which was formed to be in the market and follow the race.
Having said that innovations and change is inevitable, now the organization has to think over on which innovations to be made as there are many of them.
a. Innovations in the products...... If an organization is into manufacturing of any products then they have to see to it that constantly there are changes in their products in one or other way. They have to regularly conduct research about the similar products in the market so that they can exist strongly in the global marketplace.
b. Innovations in the policies.......Policies are the backbone for any company. The rules once set become the constitution for the employees to follow and that lays the foundation. These rules or policies has to be reviewed regularly. Necessary changes has to be made as per the market changes. Also innovative and new ideas has to be incoporated into the existing ones so that there is something new to look upto for the employees each time.
c. Innovations in the research.....Research activities play a major role in the existence of any organization. Here to changes and new ideas has to brought into so that something new comes out of the research activities which can inturn benefit the working and profits of the company. New things and ideas always comes out of research.
d. Innovations in the outlook........ It is very important the way the organization looks at different things it is involved into. May it be the look of their employees in terms of uniform, the look of their office, the way they want their image to be shown etc. Innovations has to be seen in it too because what we see on the face value always remains till end.
c. Innovations for the society.........Society or CSR activities always has to kept in the centre, because if an organization decides to give back something good to the society it will always get back something in return as the society feels some attachment towards the company. Innovative ideas has to brought here too as to how serve the society back in good way.
These are few to name. Therefore, innovations always keep the organization going and make it more competitive and it can hold on its existence in the market in any situation.
To succeed is the final thing for a company. Success once is always looked upon. But that does not mean that once who have tasted success will get that all time in future. There are failures too. One time succeeded does not give any license to the company that it will show the same performance each time. Innovations and changes comes to the rescue here. The company cannot be judged on the basis of its success each time because once a successful company can face failure too. Success and failure are two sides of a coin. An organization can face any situation any time. Therefore, one time success should not be taken as a guarantee that the company is best and will show the same results each year.
Any organisation will go through many innovations, we cannot name one or two. But if the research and innovations are in the right direction then definetly the results will show positive results. If the changes have made in certain area and the results show positive growth there then the particular innovations has to be attributed for the success. Similarly, each time positive effect cannot be expected, sometimes if negative results are shown then it is possible that the change is not much accepted. We have to accept that and think further innovations then only the organization can continue and go further in right direction.
