Scalabre discusses how we will be working together with AI machines in which already do simple jobs for us. He mentions that we will even expand technology so that we will work to almost fifty percent efficient and increase the amount of product we make. He goes on saying how this fourth manufacturing revolution is really going to happen and it is going to be huge. He also mentions how we have been less productive due to social media such as Facebook, Youtube, and others. I think he has an interesting point but I will have to disagree with his overall statement.
The reason I disagree is that he says in order to increase the economy we will need to coexist with technology and other sorts of things. The expectation is because if we improve the economy, we will be able to increase the employment rate and create a bigger flow into the economy to get it kicking. I truly believe that we will actually decrease the employment rate because AI will be taking over manufacturing jobs to become efficient and mass production. With this idea in mind, I think its correct but it is not explained well in his case. Overall I disagree that we will emerge in a burst of economic growth.
Explanation / Answer
I am totally in agreement with the idea that artificial intelligence (AL) will surely take up a number of jobs in future and it will have a similar effect like the industrial revolution had in the eighteenth century and it took around 2 centuries to make human capable of taking benefits from the machines. Although AL do have a lot of opportunity and will surely make things easier for large corporations but in order to survive the AL intrusion workers need to update their skills and should also add some new skills in their arsenal to get ready for the coming world of artificial intelligence.
