Question
I have to tell which formulas are used from the formula sheet that is posted so if you could please show me how you worked it out and tell me which formulas you used from the sheet would be great. And possibly a diagram.
Suppose you are using total internal reflection to make an efficient corner reflector. If there is air outside and the incident angle is 45.0o, what must be the minimum index of refraction of the material from which the reflector is made?

For total internal reflection we need sin sinc = n2/n1. Here n2 = 1.
Therefore sinc = 1/n and we need n > 1/sin(45o) or n > 2 = 1.414.
