Question

In the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, the collision if 2 particlebeams requires an extremely high vacuum. Assume that the residualair molecules in the collider are spherical in shape andhave a diameter of 3 nanometer. How many molecules per meter cubedwould be present if the average distance between molecules was5.0cm?

This is the 1st part of a two parter question. I already have thesecond part figured out, but I need the number of molecules, whichi get from this part of the problem, and I have no idea how tostart it off. I have the surface area of the molecules, but fromthere I am stuck.
