Explanation / Answer

Case 1: Chemistry

Suspected problem: Hyponatraemic (hypotonic) dehydration

Cause: Gastrointestinal( gastroenteristies) or Oropharyngeal (mouth ulcer) caused for lower intake of water.

Impact on testing: Potassium may be raised

Connective action : The treatment of mild-to-moderate dehydration does not require intravenous therapy as long as oral fluids are tolerated. Oral rehydration solutions such as Dioralyte® may be used.

Case 3: chemistry

Suspected problem: hyperkalemia.

Cause: kidney failure

Impact on testing: potassium level in blood is high.

Connective action: hemodialysis is your best treatment
