10. During RT-PCR mRNA is converted into cDNA. This involves the use of general primers oligo dT. mRNA contains poly A tail at the 3 prime end. Thus oligo dT primers form complimentary pairing with these residues and further elongation is carried out by reverse transcriptase enzyme.
