Question
Consider the combination of capacitors shown in the diagram, where C1 = 3.00?F , C2 = 11.0?F , C3 = 3.00?F , and C4 = 5.00?F .
Consider the combination of capacitors shown in the diagram, where C1 = 3.00?F , C2 = 11.0?F , C3 = 3.00?F , and C4 = 5.00?F . Find the equivalent capacitance CA of the network of capacitors. Two capacitors of capacitance C5 = 6.00?F and C6 = 3.00?F are added to the network, as shown in the diagram. (Figure 2) Find the equivalent capacitance CBof the new network of capacitors.Explanation / Answer
IF two capacitors C1,C2 are in series then their equivalent capacitance is C1*C2/(C1+C2)
IF they are in parallel then it is C1+C2
C3 ,C4 and C2 are in parallel
equivalent of them = 19 F
C1 is in series with the equivalent
so total capacitance = 19*(3)/22 = 2.59 F
