A. The first question is based on chargaffs rule . where it says that there must be equal number of purines and pyramidines in 1:1 ratio .
so some of the sub questions are already solved , i am solving the non solved ones.
d. TRUE , reason according to chargaffs law the amount of purine and pyramidine ratio must be same in both the strands. here it shows same.
e. TRUE , reason again the chargaffs law where A+G are purine and C +T are pyramidine whose ration is same.
f.TRUE , A indicates a purine and C is a pyramidine same in the other ratio where G/T one is purine and pyramidine.
g.TRUE , A/G adenine and guanine are purines and cytosine and thymine are pyramidines.
3A. The BASE is cytosine . reason is cytosine is a single ring compound and second thing is cytosine has a oxo group in the second position and amino group in the 4 th position so cytosine is 2 oxo , 4 amino pyramidine.
J.Its a 3' carbon sugar because the 5'carbon is attached to a phosphate group so the 5th carbon on the sugar is not free , where as the 3'carbon is free without any phosphate group attached to it , so it is a 3'sugar.
K. Its a DNA molecule , reason is the 2'carbon is having only H and not OH , which is indication that it is a deoxyribose sugar.
