Please help me with answering this question. I have all of my other hw done and I'm stuck on this one.

A particle is subject to a force Fx that varies with position as shown in the following figure.

A particle is subject to a force Fx that varies with position as shown in the following figure. Find the work done by the force on the particle as it moves from x = 0 to x = 3.00 m. Find the work done by the force on the particle as it moves from x = 5.00 m to x = 9.00 m.What is the total work done by the force over the distance x = 0 to x = 15.0 m?

Explanation / Answer

Work is the area under the curve,

Part A)

From 0 to 3 sec the slope of the graph is .6 (found from 3/5)

.6 = y/x = y/3

y = 1.8 N

W = .5(1.8)(3) = 2.7 J

Part B)
Work = 3(4) = 12 J

Part C)
The question is not finished, can not be answered. Post the rest in a comment and I can help, but you can see you left something out.

Part D)
W = .5(3)(5) + (3)(5) + (.5)(3)(5)

W = 30 J
