Please Help

It is always a good idea to understand the "size" of units. The objects listed below are resting on a hard surface. Categorize each object according to the pressure it exerts on the surface when placed on their side with the largest area, which is the bottom. Assume that the bottom of each object is flat and that the pressure refers to that above atmospheric pressure (that is, gauge pressure). A news report states that a man was crushed to death in an industrial accident. According to the article, the pressure the man experienced was "nearly 1,000 Pascals!" Based on this news report, what would you think about the veracity of their claims? Impossible! A pressure like 1,000 Pa is well beyond what a person can expect to ever experience. The article sounds reasonable. A 1,000 Pa pressure would almost certainly injure a person. Ridiculous! A 1,000 Pa pressure would not even hurt a person, much less kill him.

Explanation / Answer

1) it is actualy vague......to geve proper answer we need the value of weight and area

but i am estimating

area is the same

weight is in the order

brick> Textbook> Can of soup> penny > sheet of paper

so the pressure will also be in the same order

try

Brick- 100,000 Pa

Textbook- 10,000 Pa

Can of soup - 1000 Pa

Penny - 100 Pa

Sheet of paper- 10 Pa

2) option C

1000 Pa would not even hurt a person

to give you an idea

atmospheric pressure is 100000 Pa and we always lie is 1 atm pressure
