Question
Please answer question B!
Description: The table below shows some physical data for the eight planets in our solar system. The planets are assigned letters A through H. Ranking instructions: Rank the lengths of a day on each planet. Ranking Order: Longest 1___2___3____4____5___6_____7____8____Shortest Or, the length of a day is the same for each planet.____(indicate with a check mark) Carefully explain your reasoning for ranking this way: Ranking instructions: Rank the axial tilts of the planets. Ranking Order: Largest 1___2___3____4____5___6_____7____8____Smallest Or, the planets are all tilted by the same amount.____(indicate with a check mark)Explanation / Answer
Answer to part 'A' : Ranking order of the lengths of day on each planet is as follows,
1 - Venus, 2 - Mercury, 3 - Mars, 4 - Earth, 5 - Uranus, 6 - Neptune, 7 - Saturn, 8 - Jupiter.
Because Venus has the most number of Hours which makes one rotation (or one day on that planet) and Jupiter has the least number of hours in a day.
Answer to part 'B': Ranking the axial tilts of the planets is as follows,
Ranking order from largest to samllest:
1- Venus, 2- Uranus, 3- Neptune, 4- Saturn, 5- Mars, 6- Earth, 7- Jupiter, 8- Mercury
as Venus has the axial tilt of 177.40 degrees and Mercury has an axial tilt of 0.01 degrees. This axial tilt of Earth is responsible for the various seasons which we encounter on our planet.
