Samples are Sputum and blood.Test to done are microscopy and cultural methods.Blood culture and sputum culture,Chest X-ray and Gram staining.sputum culture is the important test.Optionally can go for CT- Chest and pleural fluid culture.From the culture can identify the organism.Advanced diagnostic test are Antigen detection test,Nucleic acid detection test and PCR.
