I have two questions..please answer all and i will rate! Thank you

In Waves (transvers, longitudinal, standing wave) experiment , we collect slinky length, number of trips and total time of transeves wave and longitudinal wave. we recored the one-way travel time tp, required for the pulse to make a single trip from one end of the slinky to the other. A round trip takes a time 2tp. How to calculate one-way tirp time tp? is it number of trips divide by total time???

and..

what one way travel time tp, dose theory predict? How does this compar to experiment???

Explanation / Answer

one-way trip time tp= total time/ number of trips

If the slinky length has magnitude equal to the wavelength of the wave travelling through the length, then the one-way trip time tp is nothing but the period of the wave i.e T.

In the experiment inverse of T or 1/T = frequency of the wave , f.
