Question
Here is the question I have been asked in my bio course: If acell is diploid and has five chromosomes per set, how many sisterchromosomes will it have as it enters mitosis? From my thought process, I am thinking it is going to be 10chromosomes per set? Is this correct? An additional question I have is a cell is diploid and haveseven chromosomes per set. How many chromosomes per cell would bepresent following cytokinesis if the cell progressed throughmitosis? How many though meiosis? Thanks! Yes, it is 10 chromosome because they are half. I think its 46 per cell. Also 25 per meiosis!~
