Middle Class: Percentage of respodents indicating that they have been a victime of crime in past year = 229/716 = 0.32

Working Class: Percentage of respodents indicating that they have been a victime of crime in past year = 59/138 = 0.428

so working class has higher percentage of percentage of victims.

QUuestion 2 : For each class, test they hypothesis that race and reported victimization are independent (alpha = .01).

Answer : FOr Middle Class :

Null Hypothesis : H0 : Race and reported Victimization are independent.

Alternative Hypothesis : Ha  : Race and reported Victimization are dependent.
