Please explain step by step.. I do have the answer but I dowant to know the step... thank you in advance..
In a labor management discussion it was brought up thatworkers at a certain large plant take on average 32.6 minutes toget to work. if a random sample of 60 worker took on the average33.8minutes with a standard deviation of 6.1 minutes, can we rejectthenull hypothesis =32.6 in a favor of the alternativehypothesis >32.6 at the 0.05 level of signifincance? Explanation / Answer

Given n=60, xbar=33.8, s=6.1

=0.05, |Z(0.05)|=1.645 (check normal table)

The test hypothesis is

Ho:=32.6

Ha:>32.6

The test statistic is

Z=(xbar-)/(s/n)

=(33.8-32.6)/(6.1/sqrt(60))

=1.52

Since Z=1.52<1.645, we do not reject Ho.
