An apparel shop sells skirts for $45 and blouses for $35. Itsentire stock is worth $51750. But sales are slow and only half theskirts and two-thirds of the blouses are sold, for a total of$30600. How many skirts and blouses are left in the store? I know the first equation will be 45x + 35y = 51750 but I'm not quite sure what the second equation is? Can someone help? In the question x & y represents the number of skirts &blouses respectively. So in the second equation x changes to x/2 and y changes to2/3y so second equation would be 45(x/2)+35(2y/3)=30600 solve the 2 equations we get x=520           y=810
