Eastern Europe Russia Mean 55.5 lb 52 lb Std. Dev 6.5 lb 12.5 lb Sample size 35 40Explanation / Answer
Using Minitab;
Two-Sample T-Test and CI
Sample N Mean StDev SE Mean
1 35 55.50 6.50 1.1
2 40 52.0 12.5 2.0
Difference = (1) - (2)
Estimate for difference: 3.50
95% lower bound for difference: -0.28
T-Test of difference = 0 (vs >): T-Value = 1.55 P-Value = 0.063 DF = 60
here p-value 0.063>0.01 so we do not reject null hypothesis, we conclude that the yearly household consumption of beef in Eastern Europe is equal in Russia.
Note : In excel we need actual data to run the t test. Summerized data there is no option to run the test.
Hope this will be helpful. Thanks and God Bless You :)
