I have been a part of the game designing project that my company undertook last year. It was a huge project for the company both in terms of investment and material planning. All the resources were involved and therefore, efficient management needed to be performed in order to maintain the different properties of the different objects and cases. The teams had been selected based on earlier performance reviews and therefore, most of the team were Co. For a table with their roles and responsibilities in the team and essentially had the correct state of mind when approaching the problems. Some, however, presented challenges to the effectiveness of the teams which is the case with any such project with such a large scope.
Initially, it was hard for some. Members to be adjusted to their roles in the teams and some. Even had problems being a part of a particular team and that needed to be resolved early in the stage. The jobs were assigned based on the level. Of the teams and the familiarity with the tasks while the project progressed into the storming stage. Conflict resolution was the main issue in this stage and three different teams of managers were assigned to watch the team leaders of the different group and essentially interface between their activities and the high tension between the different teams both intrinsically and extrinsically.
In the norm in the stage, however, it became easier to manage the teams who had adjusted to their roles and conformed to their tasks and position in the teams and the targets were achieved consistently. Due to the large scope of the project, the tension was always there but the scope had been reduced to allow the free flow of ideas and collaboration between the different teams which allowed the project to be realized on schedule.
The last stage of the performing stage started at the completion of 70 to 80 percent of the work and therefore, solid commitment and working relationship between the different teams allowed the project to be completed on time. The tension was low due to the amount of work and collaboration constantly happening between the teams and the entire project was completed well. Before the due date. The managers constantly had to intervene between the conflicts created by the teams but with a goods work breakdown structure, metrics and a realistic schedule, the entire project came to life and essentially finished before the due date which was a huge achievement.
