Part A)  When a small metal ball is given a negative charge and brought near (I.e within a few millimeters) to end A of the rod, the rod get Weakly attracted because a positive charge get induced on end A which give rise to the weak attraction as charges can not flow through an insulator..

Part B) After several contacts with the charged ball, The ball will deposit a negative charge at end A. But as the charge flow is prohibited in an insulator, the negative charge will stay there only and not spread out over the entire rod: So our answer is negative charge on end A with end B remaining neutral

Part C) As negative charge get deposited on end A after several contacts with the metal ball so the ball get strongly repelled.
