The major perspectives of psychology are discussed in chapter One and are Psychoanalytic, Behavioral, Humanistic, Cognitive, Evolutionary, Biological, Sociocultural, Biopsychosocial. In your post describe the event and discuss how the perspectives as well.
This example can be any event or topic. Example: School violence —a behavioral approach might focus on a history of being reinforced for aggressive behavior, or on having witnessed media models being reinforced for aggressive behavior. A humanistic approach might suggest that violent students are often loners and relatively low-status or powerless in their peer group and thus resort to drastic measures to gain power, control, or respect.

The increasing incidents of mass shooting in the recent past
The Psychoanalytic Perspective would explain these incidents as projections of inner conflicts of the shooters (the perpetrators). It would explain the traumatic childhood experiences of the killers as the base for these killers or the rejection that have turned them into mass killers without any compassion.
The Evolutionary Perspective might describe these mass shootings as insecurity of manhood. The prehistoric urge for male dominance through violence as the reason for these shootings and killings. The dilemma of today's manhood may have motivated these killings.
