Purpose is a reason why you create or do something. In your career, you need to have a purpose. One must know why do they want to take up a job. Of course it is about earning money, but it's not only to pay bills, the purpose of your bright career could be to eventually travel the world with the money you earn and save. The purpose could also be for another reason like self-satisfaction.
Pride is a feeling of pleasure or satisfaction from one's achievements or creations. One must take pride in everything that they do in their career. Doing a job just to make ends meet does not result in making one feel proud about themselves. Working hard and doing something you love is important, you take pride in it which makes you self satisfied and fulfilled.
Patience is the ability to tolerate or accept situations as they are without being annoyed or mad about it. In your career, you may not always be doing what you like or love. There are going to be times which may want to make you give up, however, patience is essential as once you stick around and the phase passes, you realise that your patience really helped you get something that you love or always wanted to do.
Persistence refers to doing something continually and determinately in spite of the of difficulties that arise. In a job, everyday is a struggle because earning money is not easy. However, being persistent about whatever you are doing, continuing to work hard and maybe even harder would result in great results. One must just hang in there and not give up on doing something.
