"First Two Years of Baby's Brain Development.

According to the textbook, "Invitation to The Life Span," scientists have discovered (based on equipment like the fMRI) that "Babies are thinking long before they talk."

1) Should these findings have an impact on our behavior with regard to our own personal behavior, interactions with others or our interaction with babies?

2) How would you go about explaining to parents, family members and care givers the importance of these findings?

3) Can you name a few examples of behaviors that have an impact on the development of babies that caregivers may not automatically recognize?

**Hint: In our text there have been several examples of behaviors on the part of caregivers that can impact child development.**

Explanation / Answer

Brain developments in the babies started even before they see the first light of the world and the thought processes also starts with the eagerness of sucking as and whenever required. After birth , during the first two years babies first identify the person who is taking care of them , after 4 or 5 months they identify them as a separate identity as that stageis the reharsal stage to them for gearing up to move . First action they starts generally with their feets , they puts pressure to change positions and which leads them to a great success. After 6 or seven months they slowly starts sitting and then gradually crowling and walking with the help of supports. As they starts moving they are happy to this self success andbrain also develops further to catch the new words , sentences which they relate with their memories and experiences and finally into the solutions . Upto two years they gathers various informations and understand every aspect of the life by own self and the nearest persons who is taking care of them . Incase of any danger they feels they quickly try to take back their old positions which are very much known to them .
